Sunderland's ambition in getting themselves out of English Premier League's bottom seat still need more time as this weekend they failed to pick up maximum points after being held into a draw by Cardiff City. The home team made a positive start on that weekend battle as their early pressure was rewarded with a six minutes goal by Jordon Mutch. That single goal lasted until half time break, and early on that period, things seems to be going into Cardiff's favor when they managed to double their lead with an effort from Frazier Campbell who scored on 58 minutes.
Trailing by two goals didn't stop Sunderland from battling hard as they kept on thriving in search for at least a point and things looked to be turning around for them when Steven Fletcher pulled one goal back on 83 minutes. The away side's never dying attitude was eventually rewarded as deep in stoppage time they did managed to draw level, thanks to an effort from Jack Colback, who secured a precious point for his team.
