Borussia Dortmund's ambition to cut their gap with Bayern Munich at the top of German Bundesliga standings was halted again as this weekend they only pickd up a point against Hertha BSC.
Playing in front of their home crowd, Dortmund were determined in getting all three points, but they were facing a strong opponent in Hertha.
The away side are in a good form and were also keen on grabbing all three points that can take them even closer towards Bayern at the top of table.
Unfortunately, neither sides were able to break each others' defense during the first 45 minutes forcing both sides to settle for a goalless during that period.
After the break, it was Hertha that got the break through as they went one goal up on 51 minutes through Valentin Stocker.
Dortmund had the chance to equalize from the spot kick, but Pierre Aubameyang's effort was saved.
However, three minutes after missing that spot kick, Aubameyang paid for his mistake by netting home Ousmane Dembele's assist to make it 1-1.
No more goals were scored afterwards as that game ended in a draw much to the disappointment of both teams.
