Argentina 3-0 Venezuela highlights: Argentina grabbed another important win on their attempt to maintain the top spot in South American World Cup 2014 qualifier as they defeated Venezuela on Friday.

Barcelona star, Lionel Messi once again showing his brilliance as he was the main actor in taking Argentina to glory on that match. Messi started things out with a fine assist that lead to his side's first goal scored by Real Madrid striker, Gonzalo Higuain. Still in the first half, the FIFA World player of the year himself was the one doubling the home side's lead after converting a penalty kick just before half time.

In the second period, another Messi assist was finished off by Higuain to completely seal the match at 3-0 as Venezuela never really provided much danger until the final whistle. The victory strengthened Argentina's place at the top of standings with 23 points.
