AC Milan edged their neighborly rival, Inter Milan in the International Champions Cup preseason tournament this weekend.
Rossoneri looked more dominant during the first 45 minutes as they put on strong pressure on their opponent.
Milan created several chances in the first period, but unfortunately none of them were converted into goals.
After a host of changes in the second period, Inter tried to get out of their shell by pushing forward more vigorously.
However, it was still Milan that got the edge as they eventually went one goal up on 62 minutes through Philippe Mexes' wonder goal.
Despite having to finish that tie with only 10-men, Rossoneri were able to secure their slender lead as inter failed to score an equalizing goal.
