Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has jumped to the defence of Manchester United fullback Patrice Evra over France’s World Cup meltdown.
New York Red Bull signing Henry does not feel Manchester United’s Evra, who took the captain’s armband from Henry, is as much the villain of the piece as he has been portrayed. Chelsea icon Marcel Desailly has called for Evra to be suspended for two months, but Henry said: “Evra did it with his heart. He didn’t do anything bad but sometimes doing it with your heart means you don’t see things. He is an honest guy and didn’t do anything wrong.”
