Fulham and Swansea play in one of the only two Premier League fixtures on Saturday due to the FA Cup, with the sides currently locked on 36 points in mid-table.
Fulham have improved after a shaky start, and solid results of late have pushed Martin Jol’s men away from the relegation zone and up to 10th place. The Cottagers have shown good performances at home this year, but a three-match winning streak came to an end when they were beaten 1-0 by Aston Villa last time out. In Pavel Pogrebnyak the Craven Cottage faithful have a new hero; the Russia international has been in excellent goalscoring form since joining on loan in January and was in hat-trick heaven against Wolves a couple of weeks ago. Clint Dempsey continues to impress, and the home side are favourites for this one; Betfred gives Fulham odds of 5/6 for a home win.
Swansea have exceeded all expectations this season, and are up in 11th place after an excellent campaign. The Swans have claimed the scalps of some of the biggest teams this term, and beat Manchester City 1-0 at the Liberty Stadium last Sunday. Brendan Rodgers has instilled an attacking and free-flowing nature in his side, but the newly-promoted outfit must improve their form on the road. Gylfi Sigurdsson has been an excellent January acquisition and the side are full of underrated and technically good players. Swansea are at odds of 7/2 to get three points in London on Saturday.
This should be a good spectacle for the neutral, as Fulham are good at home and Swansea have no fear. My Premier League football betting tip is a 2-2 draw, which Betfred puts at odds of 14/1.
