It’s a fact. Manchester United are officially haunted by a series of terrible results and desperate displays, are they planning to wake up ever again from this nightmare?

Today’s 3-1 defeat at Liverpool, thus being their second consecutive loss, for only the second time in the last six years. The consolation goal for United came through Chicharito’s header, making him the second top scorer in 2011, by scoring six, following Robin Van Persie’s 10.

Liverpool’s star of the day will go definitely to Dirk Kuyt who scored a hat-trick, which is definitely very special not just for Kuyt, but for the whole Reds’ team, makinh him the first player ever to score a hat-trick against Manchester United since Peter Beardsley.

For the 30-year-old striker this is a dream come true, who said:It’s perfect, you always dream about the hat-trick and then to make a hat-trick against United is the best feeling ever.

“Edwin [Van der Sar] said to me after the game, ‘you don’t score many goals against me and today the hat-trick’ so I’m more than happy with that.”

However, he did not want to take all the glory to himself as he thanks the new boy, Luis Suarez, who assisted him two times, earning himself ‘Man Of The Match’ award.

Kuyt added: “I have to thank Luis Suarez because he played great today and created two of the three goals so a perfect performance from him.

“They were quite easy goals, I used to score these types of goals when I used to play more like this as a striker in Holland but those goals count and I am more than happy to take them.”

Manchester United are now only the third Premier League team who have lost two of their last matches. Liverpool are now sixth, gaining 13 points from six last matches,  Arsenal the only ones to top that, with 14.

At the end of the interview Kuyt said: “I think we showed belief that we can compete against the best, we showed that against Chelsea also but we know that we need to compete against the other sides,” he said.

“Last week against West Ham was disappointing but hopefully we can go on a long run after today.”
