Second-placed ACF Fiorentina can secure their spot in the knockout rounds with a triumph at home against already-qualified Olympique Lyonnais. A win for the Viola would also extinguish the last hopes of five-time champions Liverpool, whether the Premier League outfit prevail against Debreceni VSC in Budapest or not. Should Liverpool and Lyon both win, the Reds will go into their Matchday 6 meeting with Fiorentina two points adrift of the Italian side. If Liverpool fail to win, Fiorentina are through. Debrecen must beat Liverpool to stay in the UEFA Europa League hunt due to their four-point deficit.
