Cristiano Ronaldo had an explosive start to his Real Madrid career, scoring nine times in seven matches following his world-record £80million move from Manchester United last summer before suffering an ankle injury against Olympique Marseille in September. Injury kept him sidelined for around two months, but he was back on the goal trail soon enough with four goals in five appearances following his comeback. However, he has not been able to find the net since the winter break, going scoreless in the games against Osasuna, Real Mallorca and Athletic Bilbao – from which Madrid have only picked up four points, but he reckons he will be back in scoring soon enough.
