Reports suggest that Manchester City is preparing an offer worth £100 million for Liverpool’s fantastic striker Fernando Torres.
This would test Liverpool’s resolve to keep the Spaniard by offering a world transfer record. Anfield giants are set to resist any advances for Torres but a bid of such enormity could force George Gillett and Tom Hicks, the club’s owners, to agree to transfer.
